    1. Preparation:
      1. Clear the area around your bed and remove all bedding, including sheets, pillowcases, and blankets.
      2. Launder all bedding in hot water (at least 60°C or 140°F) and dry on high heat to kill any bedbugs and their eggs.
      3. Vacuum the entire room, focusing on seams, crevices, and cracks where bedbugs may hide. Dispose of the vacuum bag or clean the vacuum thoroughly afterward.
    2. Inspect:
      1. Carefully inspect your mattress, box spring, bed frame, headboard, and any nearby furniture for signs of bedbugs, such as live bugs, shed skins, or fecal stains.
      2. Use a flashlight and magnifying glass if necessary to thoroughly examine all surfaces.
    3. Apply Temprid FX:
      1. Follow the instructions on the Temprid FX label for mixing the concentrate with water in a pump sprayer.
      2. Spray Temprid FX along baseboards, cracks, and crevices where bedbugs may hide, including behind furniture and electrical outlets.
      3. Apply a light, even spray to mattress seams, box spring seams, bed frame joints, and any other areas where bedbugs have been detected.
      4. Allow the treated surfaces to dry completely before reassembling the bed with clean bedding.
    4. Install Mattress Protectors:
      1. Once the treated surfaces are dry, encase your mattress and box spring in bedbug-proof mattress protectors (not included).
      2. Make sure the protectors are securely zipped shut to prevent bedbugs from entering or escaping.
    5. Set Up Bedbug Interceptors:
      1. Place bedbug interceptors under the legs of your bed frame to trap any bedbugs attempting to climb onto or escape from the bed.
      2. Make sure the interceptors are placed correctly and are flush against the floor to maximize effectiveness.
    6. Monitor and Repeat:
      1. Check the bedbug interceptors regularly for trapped bugs, fecal stains, or shed skins, which may indicate ongoing bedbug activity.
      2. If bedbugs are still present after treatment, repeat steps 3-5 as necessary, following all label instructions for Temprid FX and replacing mattress protectors and interceptors if needed.
    7. Prevent Reinfestation:
      1. Keep your bedding, mattress, and surrounding area clean and clutter-free to minimize hiding spots for bedbugs.
      2. Inspect second-hand furniture and clothing carefully before bringing them into your home to avoid introducing bedbugs.
      3. Consider using a residual insecticide like Temprid FX on a regular basis as a preventive measure, especially if you live in an area prone to bedbug infestations.
    8. Purchase our general purpose bug repellent.
